      Our Service:
Each service is typically 90 minutes and has a time of worship, offering (part of worship and as our worship), Bible-based preaching, announcements and prayer time, but not always in that order!

      Options for Children:
We love kids at FRBC and offer age-appropriate environments where your kids (age 2 – 6th grade) will learn about Jesus and the bible on their level. We have excellent, well-trained children’s and nursery workers who have passed all necessary background requirements. We ask that you check your kids in so that your children can enjoy a teaching tailored specifically for their age group. If you’d feel more comfortable having your kids attend service with you, however, this is also acceptable.

      What to wear:
Most of us wear casual clothes at our services, although some of us dress up. We’d like to think you will be as comfortable in a t-shirt and jeans as you would be in formal or cultural attire.

We have a Spirit-filled worship team with its own unique sound. You’ll engage in a powerful worship service with contemporary worship music. Our worship team represents different cultures and creative expressions, so you can expect anything. Our aim is to worship God through these expressions rooted in diversity and unity, and through that, we serve and lead our faith family into worshiping God.

      GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH

Each Sunday morning on the Makinak corner between Ste Rose du Lac and Ochre River, Manitoba, people meet to explore together what it means to love God and others. Part of this gathering is a group from the local addiction recovery centre. On a Sunday morning, there are people from numerous different backgrounds and from all over Manitoba that join us. Sometimes little kids dance in the aisle as the worship teams lead us, and sometimes we just sing the old hymns of the faith and worship our Lord through those timeless lyrics. As we dig into Scripture, there is congregational interaction at times when we wrestle with how a specific passage shapes our lives to be more like Jesus. During the week, we meet in smaller groups such as men and women’s Bible studies and youth gatherings to focus on our core passions of Following Jesus, Loving Others, and Making a Difference. The idea of
“Making a Difference” is lived out as we open our youth drop in centre. The Bridge, in Ochre River each week for kids in the surrounding communities. It’s all part of living our faith in Jesus.

      MISSION BAPTIST CHURCH

      MOOSEHORN BAPTIST CHURCH

The town of Moosehorn is a small community of ~300 people located in the ‘Interlake’ district of Manitoba.  Moosehorn Baptist Church has been a part of this community for over 100 years and draws families from as far as 50 km. away.  Needless to say, the distance that some attendees must travel in order to participate in Services & various programs requires flexibility, creativity in planning, preparation and communication!  Average Sunday Worship Service attendance 45-65.

Part of what makes this ‘Body’ so special is the family atmosphere that prevails as we spend time together in all the varied activities of ‘Body life.’  Our Church family includes farmers, ranchers, business owners, retirees and a large number of children!

This is not a community/area that is highly receptive to the Gospel so we are very mindful of the fact that we are being watched very closely.  Our actions must always be consistent with our words – what we say and what we do, matters!  God has called us to be faithful witnesses as He gives opportunity – that is our work – sharing the Gospel but it is  the Lord’s work to change the hearts of those whom He draws to the Gospel!  We press on!

      NEW LIFE MINISTRIES

New Life Ministries is, at its core, a group of believers in Jesus. We worship together, serve each other and help each other grow as disciples of Jesus. We seek to live out the message of Jesus where we live. What that means in practice is that our Sunday gatherings involve a lot of conversation – sharing prayer requests, sharing times we’ve seen Jesus in our week, praying together, and discussing what we learn in scripture. We have a sense of family… so no one can really hide in the back. But we are also very relaxed, very forgiving, and very sincere in the desire to live as Christians.

You are welcome here, no matter who you are. Join us over zoom if you want to check out a service first.

What can a visitor expect on a Sunday morning?
      Our Service:
Our service starts at 10:45 and is usually about 90 min. The service is led by a service leader. There is some opening music, a devotional thought, and time where we share prayer requests and pray for each other. This prayer time is often 30 minutes long. After another song, we listen to message from the Bible followed with a discussion on how it applies to our life.

It is a relaxed space. Coffee is on, tea is available. Help yourself.

      Options for Children:
Currently, our child’s programming is limited. But while it is limited we want you to know that we love children and want them to feel welcome!

To help you as a parent, there are activity boxes for children; and we have a table in the back set up for kids to work on.

There is also a room on the side for parents with very small children, or Moms who would like to feed in private.

It’s not uncommon for a parent to grab a blanket for the floor and sit with their child while the service happens.

      ROWANDALE BAPTIST CHURCH

Rowandale is a church of ordinary people who worship our extraordinary God. Far from perfect, we are a congregation of redeemed sinners who have found forgiveness, freedom, and hope in the person of Jesus Christ. Having experienced his life-changing grace, we seek to learn what it means to love God with all of our being, and to love our neighbours as ourselves. As a congregation, we are committed to helping each other follow Jesus in every area of life, so that together we might be a church that glorifies God and brings good to our neighbourhood, city, and world.

Our community is a nice balance of young to old, though we lean to the older end of the spectrum. Most people come from North & East Kildonan and East St. Paul neighbourhoods.

      WAVERLEY BAPTIST CHURCH

Waverley Church is an assembly of God’s people who are in union with Christ because of the redemption He provides, through His death and resurrection. Based on 2 Peter 1:3, we believe that “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.” As such, we believe that “Our most fulfilling life is found when Christ is most glorified in us.” It is the hope and prayer of Waverley Church that as God pours out His grace upon us, we may know this fulfilling life because we find our greatest joy in glorifying Jesus.

      Our Service:
When we come together each week on Sunday as a family of believers, we do so with the explicit intention to worship God and celebrate our new life that has been provided through Jesus Christ. Our Sunday services provide the opportunity to sing songs of praise that are selected for a variety of ages. We emphasize the priority of prayer as we join together to pray for different concerns and to show our thankfulness to God. We open the Bible to hear the Word of God explained through expository preaching that is intended to comfort the hurting, reveal our need, and challenge us to glorify God in every aspect of our lives.

      Options for Children:
Our Waverley Kids ministry is the perfect place for your children, infant through age 4, to go while you attend service. Ages 4 and under are dismissed near the beginning of the service for during-service care. If you would like your children to go to Waverley Kids, take your children to the appropriate room in the Kids area, or visit the Welcome Centre in the lobby for direction and instructions before the service. When you bring your children to the class, your children will be checked in, and you will receive an ID number which you will need in order to pick up your child. There is a digital signboard in the auditorium that will display the two-digit ID number for a child if they need a parent to come take care of the child. NOTE: Parents of all children, please remember to go immediately following service to pick up your children. We will not release any child under any circumstance without a guardian to pick them up.

      What to wear:
At Waverley we do not have rules about what a person wears. Our goal is to focus on worshiping God and so we only ask that those attending our services wear what is modest and respectful.

      Worship Music:
Our various worship teams cover a broad range of music, from hymns to more contemporary pieces.

On average, we have approximately 70 in attendance on a Sunday morning.  We typically have higher attendance in the summer than in the winter months because of our location, bringing in cottagers and campers to our services.

      WHYTE RIDGE BAPTIST CHURCH

At Whyte Ridge Baptist we are growing to be a fellowship of Christians deeply rooted in God and intimately connected to one another. We believe those are two needs that all people have in common, a close relationship with God and significant relationships with other people who are like-minded. We are also growing to be an externally focused church, showing the heart of God to our community and caring for people of other nations.

We recognize that when Jesus walked the earth He showed us how to live as one who chose to serve. Our purpose in life also comes from serving. We believe we honor God by being disciples who clearly demonstrate changed lives in their worship, fellowship, and witness. We are a people who recognize the stresses that come to us all at different stages of life, and we seek to minister to one another as we journey.

Children and youth, young adults and singles, young married couples and families with children, middle-aged and seniors, students, immigrants, widows… every station in life has its challenges, and we want to point people to God at each stage. We recognize the uniqueness of each stage in life, but we value being an inter-generational people. We believe that finding our place in the family means engaging with those at different stages. Mysteriously the whole body builds itself up in love as each part does its work.

We love celebrating our diversity in a way that reflects the unity we have in Jesus Christ. Our experience has taught us that the crossroads and transitions of life are critical moments when God has our attention and is intent on taking us to the next level of our Spiritual formation. That could be as a result of a move, a loss, a change or some kind of transition. If you find yourself at such a place, and you would like to know more about our church, please explore our website or contact the church office to arrange a visit with one of our pastors at 204-489-3875 or by email.

What can a visitor expect on a Sunday morning?
      Our Service:

Come a few minutes early if you would like a cup of coffee before the service. Visit our Information Center following the service for a guest welcome package that includes a gift of the worship CD – To Bring You Glory, a compilation of worship music written by our Worship Pastor Kevin Klassen, and performed by various gifted members of Whyte Ridge Baptist.

The Service typically runs around 75 minutes and usually start with some announcements followed by a time of singing worship songs and a sermon.

      Options for Children:

The value Whyte Ridge places on children is seen in the opportunities for fun and learning during the 10:30 am service:

      • Baby Room for parents with infants and nursing moms. The morning worship service can be heard and viewed on the video monitor in the room.
      • Nursery for children who sit independently up to the age of 2.
      • Children’s programming provided for ages 3 – grade 4.
      • 4HG: For His Glory for children in grades 5 & 6.

Programs for children from nursery age to grade four take place in our lower auditorium.  When you enter the church through the main doors, please take the stairwell to your right to access those programs. Youth in grades in grades 5 and 6 are to join the adults for the first half of the worship service (i.e until after the worship singing), at which point they will be dismissed to their own age-appropriate ministry that takes place in our main floor conference room.

      What to wear:
We believe God looks at the heart, not our clothes, so we encourage you to wear whatever is comfortable. We have a “come as you are” atmosphere. You will see some dressed up; some dressed casual. We have no expectations for attire.

      Worship Music:
Our various worship teams cover a broad range of music, from hymns to more contemporary pieces.

      Parking:
Access to our grounds is found on McGillivray Blvd just a west of Costco with lots of options for parking.

      The OASIS DROP-IN

When First Baptist Minitonas saw a need for a safe place for children in the community the church jumped at an opportunity to purchase the building that has now become The Oasis. Located just half a block south of the Early Years School, right beside the library, The Oasis is in an ideal spot for a safe spot for children in the town to come to after school.

The Oasis also has seen a need for affordable, quality clothing for people in the town. To respond to this need The Oasis also operates a small used clothing shop to make sure that all who have need have access to the essentials they need.

The Oasis is operated by members of Minitonas First Baptist.
