Naloxone Training Seminar

EVENT DESCRIPTION

March 6 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Summary

Sign up for this seminar to learn how to use a Naloxone Kit.

Naloxone is used to revive someone overdosing from opioid usage, particularly when they are no longer breathing effectively. Naloxone acts to reverse the effects of opioids in an overdose.

The seminar will help folks be comfortable with using the naloxone kit. The goal is to equip people to be able to do good work in an actual crisis situation. There has been a measurable decline in opioid related deaths since Naloxone kits became readily available to the public.

New Life has been gifted several naloxone kits we would like to share with others.

This is not a certified course. We will be following the guidance provided under the Manitoba Naloxone Distribution Program on how to respond when you suspect someone is experiencing an overdose.

This course is not offering CPR training. We are sharing what we know and what we have – our resources – with those who would benefit from it.

Registration is limited. We ask that no more than 2 or 3 from your organization attend, so there is room for others.
